ACTRESS PLESHETTE DIES

Veteran actress SUZANNE PLESHETTE has died. She was 70. The Bob Newhart Show star died of respiratory failure at her home in Los Angeles on Saturday (19Jan08), after a battle with lung cancer - which she underwent chemotherapy for in 2006. Pleshette also also appeared on the big screen in Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds, and most recently had made guest appearances in hit sitcom Will + Grace. Her third husband Tom Poston died in 2000.
