ACTOR JOSH BROLIN ARRESTED AFTER LOUISIANA BAR FIGHT
Josh Brolin along with six other men was arrested this weekend after an alleged bar fight in Louisiana.
The No Country for Old Men star was detained alongside Casino Royale actor Jeffrey Wright, his co-star in Oliver Stone's forthcoming George Bush biopic W.
Sergeant Willie Lewis of Shreveport police said Brolin, Wright and five others were arrested just after 02:00 local time at the Stray Cat bar.
Sgt Lewis told the Times of Shreveport newspaper that a call to handle a rowdy bar customer provoked interference from other patrons.
Eric Felland, 29, reportedly a crew member on W, was arrested for public intoxication and resisting arrest, with Brolin, 40, and Wright, 42, detained for reputedly intervening on Felland's behalf.
Brolin is said to have posted a $334 (£168) bond to be released, though police have not confirmed if the SAG award-winner has been freed.
The American Gangster actor was earmarked by Stone to play the incumbent president in a movie with a "behind-the-scenes" approach while Wright is to play General Colin Powell.
"Josh is actually better looking than Bush but has the same drive and charisma that Americans identify with Bush, who has some of that old-time movie-star swagger," Stone told Variety in January.
After acclaimed roles in the Coens' No Country For Old Men, American Gangster and Gus Van Sant's Milk, Brolin has become one of the most sought-after actors in Hollywood.
