ACTOR CAROLLA SUES OVER UNPAID RENT

American actor and TV presenter ADAM CAROLLA has filed suit against the bosses of a Los Angeles furniture company for failing to pay rent on a property he owns in California.
The comedian, a former host of MTV dating show Loveline, and his wife Lynette are the landlords of a building in Burbank, which they leased to Lounge 22.
In legal papers filed recently in Los Angeles County Superior Court, the star claims the firm's owners have not handed over rent since May (09), and a subsequent ultimatum to pay up or get out issued in July (09) was ignored.
Carolla is now suing Lounge 22 for $44,913 (£29,942) in overdue rent for May through to July (09) - in addition to $499 (£332) for each day they remained in the building in August (09).
The company appears to have since moved on, although an exact date is unclear, and some furniture is still left on the property, reports TMZ.com.
