ABC'S INFOTAINMENT SPECIAL A BUST
ABC's attempt to merge news and entertainment into a two-hour special, Six Degrees of Martina McBride, failed to attract a sizable audience Monday night. The show, a kind of combination talent contest, game show, and news feature (about country singer McBride), placed fourth in the 9:00 p.m. hour (3.0/5) and third in the 10:00 p.m. hour (2.9/5). (Fox does not broadcast after 10:00 p.m.)
