90210 CAST KEEN FOR LUKE PERRY RETURN

The cast of the US soap 90210 have said they are keen for original cast member Luke Perry to return to the show.

Perry starred at Dylan in the famous 90s series Beverly Hills 90210, and now the cast of the new spin-off want him to return to the show that made him famous.

A number of his former co-stars have already returned for guest appearances, including Tori Spelling.

Shenae Grimes, who plays Annie in the new series, said the cast were "dying" for Perry to appear.

Asked who she would like to see return, Grimes said: "Luke Perry, obviously. I mean come on! We've all been dying for it.

"I still am but I may have to give up the dream. I dunno, it may be at that point now. But I'm a huge Dylan fan, yes."

The show's makers also said they were "always open" to the prospect of old cast members returning.

The cast and makers of the show made the comments at the William S Paley Television Festival in Beverly Hills.
