44 YEARS SINCE BILL BECAME A WYMAN

ON THIS DAY (June 24, 1964) ROLLING STONES member William Perks changed his name by deed poll to BILL WYMAN.
William used the the surname of one of his friends from his days in the RAF. It was also on this day (June 24, 1964) that THE ROLLING STONES and their management team OLDHAM/EASTON first considered making the band a limited company over lunch at THE SAVOY HOTEL in LONDON.
