24 STAR KIEFER SUTHERLAND GRANTED DIVORCE

Kiefer Sutherland has been granted a divorce from his estranged wife Elizabeth Kelly Winn, court documents released today have revealed.

The 24 star and Winn were married in 1996 and separated in 1999, with Sutherland later filing for divorce in 2004, citing irreconcilable differences.

The London-born actor had with no children with Winn but has a daughter, Sarah, from his previous three-year marriage to actress Camelia Kath.

Sutherland, the son of Dirty Sexy Money's Donald, was also once engaged to Julia Roberts, having starred alongside in her 1990's Flatliners.

The 41-year-old recently served 48 days after a second driving under the influence conviction and for violating the terms of his probation agreement.

A spokesperson for the Glendale jail in California, John Balian, said after the star's release in January that had not asked for special treatment during his term.

"Throughout his stay, he never griped, never complained. He never wanted preferential treatment from the get-go, and we respect him for that," he told People magazine.

The action star, who plays Jack Bauer in Fox's 24, had said in a statement after his October 2007 arrest that he was "deeply sorry for the disappointment and distress this has caused my family, friends and co-workers on 24 and at 20th Century Fox".
