SHARON OSBOURNE - X FACTOR FIRINGS UPSET OSBOURNE

X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne has launched a scathing attack against Simon Cowell's treatment of Louis Walsh and Kate Thornton.

After three seasons of the popular talent show presenter Thornton and fellow judge Walsh were sensationally axed from the programme.

Cowell has insisted that ITV bosses were responsible for the cull, but Osbourne told the Mirror newspaper that she thinks otherwise.

"The very least he could have done is to have told Louis and Kate rather than pretend it was all down to the producers," she said.

"Simon was with Louis at least three days before this happened and he didn't say a word.

"And Kate has been publicly humiliated. Simon should have been up-front and told her he didn't think things were working. At least she could then have gone with dignity and her head held high."

Osbourne expressed her regret about the changes to the show, saying she thought the old combination of hardline Cowell, sympathetic Osbourne and somewhere-inbetween Walsh had "the right balance and chemistry".

"The formula wasn't broken so why fix it?" she asked.
