WYNONNA JUDD - WYNONNA: 'MARRIAGE WAS DOOMED FROM THE START'

Country star WYNONNA JUDD's second marriage was doomed from the start - because deep down she knew she wouldn't be able to change her husband D.R. ROACH. The singer split from Roach earlier this year (07) and filed for divorce after her estranged husband was arrested for aggravated sexual battery against a minor in March (07). But she accepts the seven-year marriage was doomed from the word go. She tells Ladies Home Journal magazine, "I knew what I was getting into and I tried to change it. I knew that both Roach and I had issues with addiction when I married him. "I know my life. I know the people I chose, I know why I chose them and I really thought that I could change people through loving them enough. It doesn't work that way." But, despite that, the flame-haired singer admits she was shattered by the end of her marriage: "It blew the door open to my soul."
