ROLLING STONES - WYMAN PLANS LONDON PHOTO BOOK

Former ROLLING STONES star BILL WYMAN has big plans to marry his passions for London and photography in a new book of city snapshots.
The rocker, who is also a celebrated photographer, admits his book idea is taking quite some time because he can't just hit the streets with a camera - and he has to carefully select times when he can snap away without getting mobbed by fans.
He says, "I'd love to go and do a book on London, go around the streets of London shooting people, objects, doorways and shop windows and traffic.
"I can't do it easily 'cos the minute I walk out on a London street with a camera people start approaching me and asking how MICK (JAGGER) is and what you're doing. I just can't go out with a camera; I have to go out in the early morning or late evening."
But Wyman admits he's already made an impressive start on the project: "I've got about 500 shots of Chelsea because that's where I live."
Meanwhile, Wyman is in negotiations to stage a London exhibition of his photos after launching his first world tour in California last year (06).
A new exhibition of his rock star portraits goes up at Los Angeles' Morrison Hotel Gallery this weekend (24MAR07) before hitting art spaces in Germany, Japan and Switzerland. Another 10 European shows are being planned for the coming 18 months.
