STAR TREK - WRITERS STRIKE HELPS SAVE PREGNANT RYAN

The Hollywood writers strike could not have come at a better time for pregnant former STAR TREK star JERI RYAN - she was desperate for a break. The newly-married actress isn't among those grumbling about forced time off and is using the strike to put her feet up. She says, "It's terrible to say, but, selfishly, the timing couldn't have been better, because I was cooked. "My schedule (on legal drama Shark) was killing me, and I needed this break desperately."
