EVAN RACHEL WOOD - WOOD SAVED BY THIRTEEN

Actress EVAN RACHEL WOOD credits her casting in the movie THIRTEEN with saving her from her own teen agony.
The Golden Globe nominee, now 19, went through a painful growing up process, suffering with depression and being picked on at school, similar to her character in the film.
She says, "During the year between 13 and 14 I was really alone and angry all the time. I was never into drugs, but I had a lot of self-loathing and self-destructiveness.
"I knew it was wrong but I thought it was what I had to do.
"I didn't fit in at school and then a girl spread a bunch of rumours about me. My friends stopped talking to me and I became obsessed with NIRVANA and KURT COBAIN.
"Thirteen was very close to home. I had a lot of stuff from my own life to draw on."
