Hardman actor RAY WINSTONE won't star in THE SWEENEY remake because he's too busy. Director Nick Love, who has made British crime films The Business and Outlaw, is helming the big screen remake of the classic TV show and admitted he wanted Winstone for the part of Jack Regan - a role originally made famous by John Thaw. However, Love's regular actor Danny Dyer concedes Winstone won't appear in the movie as his filming schedule is already full. Dyer tells WENN, "He's too busy with stuff like Indiana Jones. He's got a house in Los Angeles. "I think Nick is going for Paul Bettany now." The Sweeney ran from 1975 to 1978.
