AMY WINEHOUSE - WINEHOUSE OUT OF REHAB FOR VISA

Amy Winehouse has left rehab to visit the US embassy in London to discuss acquiring a visa.

The troubled singer was joined by her father Mitch and a nurse during the meeting with officials.

Winehouse, 24, checked into the Capio Nightingale clinic last month after the Sun published a video apparently showing her smoking a crack pipe.

She is due to perform at the upcoming Grammy awards, in Los Angeles, at which she is nominated for six awards.

A spokesman for the star claimed that "no decision" had been made on the performance on Sunday.

"The appointment at the US embassy was made some time ago and was part of process of obtaining a visa," he said.

"Amy was accompanied by a nurse as the appointment was under supervision. She has not left rehab and remains in the care of the clinic."
