AMY WINEHOUSE - WINEHOUSE DENIED VISA

Amy Winehouse will be unable to perform at this year's Grammy awards ceremony after her US visa application was rejected.
The Back to Black star had briefly left a rehabilitation clinic in north London earlier this week to process her application for the work permit but will not be able to attend this Sunday's event, after the US Embassy denied her application.
It has been reported that the 24-year-old singer may now perform at the ceremony via a satellite link-up.
A spokesman confirmed that the troubled chanteuse will not be attending the Los Angeles award show and plans to continue her rehabilitation from substance abuse.
"Amy has been progressing well since entering a rehabilitation clinic two weeks ago and although disappointed with the decision has accepted the ruling and will be concentrating on her recovery," the spokesman added.
"Amy has been treated well and fairly by the Embassy staff and thanks everyone for their support in trying to make this happen. There will of course be other opportunities and she very much looks forward to visiting America in the near future."
Winehouse was admitted to the Capio Nightingale rehabilitation facility on January 24th after the Sun newspaper published video footage of the singer appearing to smoke crack cocaine.
She was questioned by Scotland Yard detectives this week in relation to the images which reportedly showed Winehouse lighting up and inhaling from a crack pipe after admitting to having taken "six Valium".
