AMY WINEHOUSE axed two gigs in London this week (begs05MAR07) after splitting from her boyfriend, according to reports. The singer's two performances at the city's Shepherd's Bush Empire on Thursday (08MAR07) and Friday (09MAR07) were postponed at the last minute, blamed on a mystery illness. Photographs of the star shopping for alcohol just hours before the first cancelled gig prompted rumours she wasn't actually ill. Now British newspaper the Daily Mirror alleges Winehouse refused to perform after ending her relationship with chef ALEX JONES-DONELLY. A newspaper source spotted Winehouse drinking in a hotel near the venue on Thursday, when she was meant to be onstage. The party-loving star has cited Jones-Donelly as a calming influence on her in the past.
