JOHN WILLIAMS - WILLIAMS TERRIFIED TO COMPOSE MUSIC FOR SCHINDLER'S LIST

Legendary movie composer JOHN WILLIAMS was terrified to write the music for emotive 1993 film SCHINDLER'S LIST - because he didn't think he was up to the job. The music maestro admits he found it difficult watching the harrowing tale of Nazi concentration camps, and wasn't sure if his musical input would do the film justice. Even director Steven Spielberg had his doubts, joking Williams wasn't his first choice for the composing role. He says, "I watched the film all the way through, but I was so overcome with emotion I had to step out to get some air. "I said to Steven that he needed a much better composer than me to do it justice. 'I know', he replied, 'but they're all dead!'"
