THE WHO - WHO MINDER: 'KEITH AND I GASSED DOGS'

A roadie who worked for legendary rockers THE WHO has confessed to gassing dogs in a Detroit hotel. PETER 'DOUGAL' BUTLER has recalled how he and hellraising drummer KEITH MOON met AVENGERS star PATRICK MACNEE in the hotel and decided to test their new gas guns toys on him. Of the guns Butler says, "They didn't kill you, they just put you to sleep." Unfortunately the ruse went wrong when the pair couldn't find MACnee's room. Butler says, "Keith decided on one, we put these nozzles under the door and fired. "All we heard was barking. The fire alarms went off and we ran. "There was an old lady in there with six dogs, going to a dog show. They were all gassed up with their legs in the air."
