GERARD WAY - WAY SHUNS NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS

Rocker GERARD WAY has given up making New Year's resolutions - because he never manages to keep them. The My Chemical Romance frontman resolved to give up cigarettes in previous years but failed to keep his promise - and has now abandoned the tradition altogether. He explains, "I always say, 'quit smoking', but I know I won't, so there is no point. "I feel really strong at the moment, a strong spine supporting me, so I can't think of anything I need to change." But the 30-year-old insists he isn't adverse to personal transformation. He adds, "I always just try to be a better person."
