JULIE WALTERS - WALTERS' ACCIDENTAL CONFESSION

British actress JULIE WALTERS unwittingly revealed intimate details about her relationship with her 'dominating' mother on a radio show yesterday (04SEP06), not realising she was still on air. The BILLY ELLIOT star was talking to BBC Radio 4 WOMAN'S HOUR presenter JENNI MURRAY about her role in new movie DRIVING LESSONS when the misunderstanding took place. After Murray wrapped up the show, Walters thought she was off-air and began to talk about her mother. She said, "It's so dominating... My mother was the whole thing that dominated my life, my mother's relationship. I often found myself going, 'Mum, put this right because it's all your fault.'" When Murray indicated they were still live on-air, Walters was furious. She said, "Did you hear that? All of it? Oh stop, you said I..." Walters has spoken before about her troubled relationship with her mother, recalling, "She said if I took up acting I'd be in the gutter by the time I was 20."
