RICK WAKEMAN - WAKEMAN: 'BRITS DIDN'T KNOW I COULD SING'

Rock legend RICK WAKEMAN was surprised to learn he was unknown in his native Britain as a musician.
The former Yes star found a whole new fan base through his appearances on the British TV show Grumpy Old Men - because the audience was unaware he is a professional musician.
He says, "A very nice elderly lady came up and said, 'I had no idea you played the piano. You're rather good - have you thought of making any discs?'"
And when Wakeman told her he had actually made 146, she replied, "Oh, have you sold them all yet?"
He adds, "I thought that was lovely."
