NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK - WAHLBERG EMBRACED BY MOROCCANS

Former NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK singer DONNIE WAHLBERG was shocked when he went to Morocco to film a mini-series on the 9/11 tragedy when he found little animosity toward the United States. Wahlberg stars in THE PATH TO 9/11 as a CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) operative who tries to piece together events leading up to the World Trade Center attacks in New York City. He explains, "To see the camaraderie and friendship and the bonds that were formed between the Americans over there and the Muslim people working on the project from all over the world was very powerful and very beautiful. "I felt personally embraced. I was trying to learn and speak Arabic as much as possible, and the people were really touched that some American guy would respect their culture enough to make that effort. "It was really special."
