Burlesque star DITA VON TEESE is to portray a sexy schoolteacher in a new campaign urging animal lovers to spay or neuter their cats and dogs. The estranged wife of rock star Marilyn Manson dons her signature corset, stockings, and spiked heels in a captivating new People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) ad - while standing at a classroom blackboard. Von Teese will unveil her sexy new ad on Monday (24Sep07), and insists she's deadly serious about animal birth control, despite the saucy new ad. She says, "Nearly four million dogs and cats are put to death in the U.S. every year because there are not enough good homes. "You can help prevent this - always spay or neuter your animals, and if you're considering adding a dog or cat to your family, please adopt from your local animal shelter." The sexy new ad comes just a week after the launch of a controversial new PETA TV campaign, which features a naked Alicia Silverstone stepping out of a pool. The TV spot, which features the former Batgirl actress completely naked from behind, has been banned in some U.S. territories.
