RICHARD BRANSON - VIRGIN COMICS SHUTS DOWN NEW YORK OFFICE

British entrepreneur SIR RICHARD BRANSON's comic book venture is reportedly moving to Los Angeles in a bid to boost its appeal.
Branson's Virgin Comics - a venture between his Virgin Group and Indian comics publisher Gotham Entertainment Group - has closed its New York office after disappointing sales.
Virgin Comics CEO Sharad Devarajan says the company hopes to restructure the business at a Los Angeles base.
Devarajan adds, "We remain excited about the business and partnerships we have built through Virgin Comics and are working toward a restructuring that properly takes the business forward."
The company hopes to attract stars closer to Hollywood and has reportedly negotiated deals with former porn star Jenna Jameson, actors Ed Burns and Nicolas Cage, and filmmaker Guy Ritchie to develop comic books that can be turned into films and TV shows.
