LATEST: VILLAGE PEOPLE star VICTOR WILLIS has been released from hospital after undergoing surgery on his throat - and hopes to be singing again before the end of the year (08).
The original lead singer of the 1970s disco band had an operation to remove nodules from his vocal cords earlier this month (07Jul08).
His doctors have told him he cannot sing for 90 days - but he has resumed talking, and his speaking voice "sounds almost normal," his spokeswoman Linda Smith, said.
In a statement, Willis adds, "I feel great and look forward to performing before the end of the year, but I can't say for sure."
