UGLY BETTY star BECKI NEWTON is set to become the next actress to embark on a singing career - if she can persuade soulful JOHN LEGEND to join her in the studio.
The sexy TV star has performed on the show, bringing attention to her sultry singing voice.
And now she's considering taking her musical career further.
She tells PlanetGossip.eonline.com, "You know who I love the most - John Legend... I should just call him up."
Newton already has something in common with the R+B star - they attended the same Pennsylvania college - at the same time.
She recalls, "I used to see him playing the piano and singing on campus."
