TWISTED SISTER STAR BOOKS GREAT WHITE FIRE BENEFIT GIG
TWISTED SISTER rocker DEE SNIDER is organising a benefit concert for the survivors of the fire tragedy at a GREAT WHITE club gig in 2003. Twisted Sister, Tesla, Stryper, Jewel, Kellie Pickler and Tom Scholz will play the 25 February (08) fundraiser at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. The concert, which will be broadcast on TV channel VH1 provided Snider can book popular headliners, will raise money to help pay the survivors' medical bills. Snider says, "For some burn victims, one day in the hospital is $70,000. This has to be like Live Aid." One hundred Great White fans were killed when a blaze swept through Rhode Island's The Station nightclub in 2003. The band's guitarist Ty Longley also perished and more than 200 were injured.
