Former ALLY MCBEAL star COURTNEY THORNE-SMITH is celebrating after learning she's about to become a first-time mother. The actress, who plays a mum of three in hit U.S. sitcom According To Jim, will become a real-life mother in January (08) - almost a year to the day after she wed businessman Roger Fishman (01Jan07). Friends tell In Touch Weekly magazine the couple has been trying for a child since they wed. The happy news ends years of heartbreak for the 39-year-old actress, whose first marriage ended after just seven months. Her second chance to become a wife ended before she made it up the aisle - she called off a lengthy engagement to cardiologist Robert Andrews weeks before the wedding.
