ALLY MCBEAL - THORNE-SMITH GLAD SHE WAITED TO BECOME A MUM

Former ALLY MCBEAL star COURTNEY THORNE-SMITH is glad she waited to start a family late in life because she would have been a terrible role model when she was a fitness-crazed 20-something. The actress is expecting her first child at 39 and believes past attempts to get pregnant fell flat because she wasn't ready to be a good mum. She tells USA Today newspaper, "Children learn what they live, and I'm in such a good place now. I dealt with my compulsive exercise years ago. "I do believe I was only able to get pregnant because I dealt with my issues."
