24 - THIN LIZZY BACK IN TOWN
Irish rockers Thin Lizzy have announced plans to reform and embark on a 17-leg UK tour at the end of the year.
The Dubliners will kick off the tour Thursday November 22nd at Leicester's De Montfort Hall and will bring the curtain down on their reunion at London's Hammersmith Apollo on Thursday December 13th.
Original lead singer Phil Lynott died in 1986 as a result of a heroin overdose and his place will be taken by John Sykes.
Scott Gorham, who first joined the band in 1974, will appear on lead guitar alongside Marco Mendosa (bass) and Michael Lee (drums).
Thin Lizzy are arguably most famous for their hit 1976 single The Boys Are Back in Town, while Waiting For An Alibi (1979), Whiskey In the Jar (1972) and Killer On The Loose (1980) also made the UK top ten.
Tickets for the tour go on sale at 09:00 BST tomorrow and are priced between £24 and £28.50.
