HARRY POTTER - THEWLIS FINALLY RELEASES DEBUT NOVEL

HARRY POTTER star DAVID THEWLIS is relieved to have finally released his debut novel - the actor has been writing it for seven years. British Thewlis, who now lives in Los Angeles with his girlfriend Anna Friel and their two-year-old daughter, began writing The Late Hector Kipling in 2000. The book, about an artist jealous of his famous best friend, has just come out in the U.S., and was released in the U.K. in September (07). Thewlis says, "I (always) knew it would be a black comedy. And I also knew it would be about a descent into madness."
