RICHARD EASTON - THESPIAN EASTON RECOVERING AFTER STAGE COLLAPSE

Veteran Broadway thespian RICHARD EASTON is recovering in hospital after collapsing onstage during a performance of TOM STOPPARD play VOYAGE last night (19OCT06). The Tony Award winner is in stable condition and undergoing tests. His publicist is playing down reports the actor suffered a heart attack. Easton's understudy DAVID MANIS will take over the actor's part until he returns. Stoppard's plays have always been life-changing for Easton - he won his Tony for his performance in the British playwright's THE INVENTION OF LOVE.
