THE WHO - THE WHO TO COLLECT ROCK HONOUR

Veteran rockers THE WHO will be the only band feted at the upcoming 2008 VH1 Rock Honors event in Los Angeles. Original members Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend will perform at the 12 July (08) ceremony, alongside acts who'll pay tribute to the British legends. Bosses at music TV network VH1 have in previous years heralded a number of bands at its Rock Honors event, including Heart, ZZ Top and Ozzy Osbourne. But, at this year's (08) third annual ceremony, The Who will be the only act honoured. Original band members Keith Moon and John Entwistle died in 1978 and 2002 respectively.
