THE SPECIALS REFORM FOR TOUR
Legendary British ska band THE SPECIALS will tour next year (09) - for the first time since their 1981 split.
Rumours of a reunion spread after several members of the band's original line-up appeared at the U.K.'s Bestival show in September (08).
And the stars have now confirmed they will perform eight dates in Britain next spring (09).
The hugely influential band were a driving force behind the ska and punk movements in the late 1970s. Keyboard player Jerry Dammers was a famed campaigner against apartheid in South Africa, penning the 1984 protest song Free Nelson Mandela.
