THE NAME'S TANK ENGINE, THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE!
Former JAMES BOND PIERCE BROSNAN is on the right track after signing on to narrate children's cartoon THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE. The Irish actor follows in the footsteps of Michael Brandon, George Carlin and former Beatle Ringo Starr, who has narrated the cartoon in the U.K., by lending his voice to new DVD Thomas + Friends: The Great Discovery. The 54-year-old says, "One of my fondest memories as a father was sharing the stories of Thomas The Tank Engine and watching the series with my children when they were young." The show's executive producer Christopher Scala adds, "We were looking for really an exceptional voice that would work in both the U.K. and U.S. markets. We thought Pierce had a voice that resonated with children and their moms. He is a wonderful fit and it turns out he is a fan."
