THE MATRIX has been named the best science-fiction movie or TV show of the past 25 years in a new US magazine poll. The 1999 Keanu Reeves film, which spawned two blockbuster sequels, beat TV series Battlestar Galactica and Blade Runner to claim the top spot on the Entertainment Weekly list. Cult TV hit The X-Files, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Terry Gilliam's bizarre Brazil and E.T. also make the top 10. The top 10 is: 1. The Matrix 2. Battlestar Gallactica (TV) 3. Blade Runner 4.
