THE JAM - THE JAM REFORM FOR UK TOUR

British band THE JAM have announced plans to reunite for their first UK tour in 25 years - but without the group's former singer PAUL WELLER. Bassist BRUCE FOXTON and drummer RICK BUCKLEY will embark on a series of performances under the band's original moniker in May (07), with vocalist RUSSELL HASTINGS and guitarist/keyboardist DAVID MOORE. Buckley insists The Jam can succeed without Weller, but invited the star to perform with his bandmates if the opportunity arose. He says, "Paul Weller has a fantastic solo career and is one of the UK's most talented songwriters. Paul is always welcome to join us for the reunions, but until then, we've got a new tour and a new album to do." The group's 20-date UK tour will mark 30 years since the release of seminal album IN THE CITY in 1977.
