AMY WINEHOUSE - THE HIVES: 'WINEHOUSE CAN BEAT DRUG TROUBLES BY JOINING A BAND'

AMY WINEHOUSE would never have had her reported drug troubles if she had been in a band, according to THE HIVES frontman HOWLIN' PELE ALMQVIST. The Rehab singer suffered health problems this summer (07) after an apparent drug overdose - but Almqvist believes if she had the support of band members she would never have gotten into so much trouble. Speaking at Jeremy Jackson's Fashion Show for Ed Hardy, he tells WENN, "We've (The Hives) had a few scares but we support and look after each other. "If Amy was in a band she would be in a much better situation. It must be hard going through what she's going through all by herself."
