THE GAME - THE GAME STARTS JAIL SENTENCE

Rapper THE GAME has begun his 60-day jail term for weapons charges after turning himself into Los Angeles authorities on Sunday (02Mar08) night. The Dreams star, real name Jayceon Taylor, was handed the sentence last month (Feb08) after pleading guilty to felony gun charges. He faced three counts of making criminal threats and possessing a firearm in a school zone during a fight in the middle of a basketball game last year (07). Two charges were dropped as part of a plea agreement. And the 28-year-old left it until minutes before midnight - just before the 3 March deadline - to check into the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in California to serve his time behind bars. He will also be placed on three years probation and must also complete 150 hours of community service after his release as per the terms of his plea deal.
