British rockers THE ENEMY have been forced to cancel their European tour after their lead singer was struck down by a throat infection. The band - who supported the Rolling Stones on their last tour - had scheduled a series of live dates across the continent but were forced to pull out when frontman Tom Clarke became ill. Clarke, 20, says, "I've come down with a bacterial throat infection that's made it impossible to sing. It's the last thing we wanted to happen but under doctor's orders I'm back home resting. "I'm gutted."
