STEVE IRWIN - TERRI IRWIN VOWS TO FIGHT MINING PLANS

Late CROCODILE HUNTER star STEVE IRWIN's widow TERRI has vowed to fight to stop a mining company from drilling for bauxite in a wildlife area dedicated to her husband.
The conservationist has learned the mining firm has plans to excavate a large area of the Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve on Australia's Cape York Peninsula.
The 333,000-acre site was purchased in 2006 by the Australian Government as a tribute to her husband, who died after an attack by a stingray at the Great Barrier Reef the same year.
