DURAN DURAN - TAYLOR THANKFUL FOR MODERN TECHNOLOGY

Modern technology is helping DURAN DURAN star JOHN TAYLOR keep his professional and personal lives on track after one failed marriage and a band split.
The bassist admits he would be lost without email and cellphones - as the devices help him keep in touch with his wife Gela Nash and his family and friends when he's touring with the reunited Duran Duran.
And Taylor, who originally quit the Rio hitmakers in 1997, claims the communication helps him maintain his most important relationships - and not resent his touring commitments.
The pop star, who opens the North American leg of Duran Duran's world tour in Vancouver, Canada on Tuesday night (29Apr08), says, "With email, texting and international cellphones that really work... I am actually beginning to believe it is possible to do what we do and maintain a family simultaneously.
"I know others that have done it, but it has eluded me for years."
