SURVIVOR WINNER CLAIMS PRODUCERS TRIED TO HUSH HIM UP
Richard Hatch, the original Survivor winner, who is now serving time for failing to pay taxes on his $1-million in winnings and other income, said in an appeal on Thursday that the judge in his case wrongfully refused to allow him to argue that he had struck a deal with producers in which they had agreed to pay his taxes if he won. Hatch said that he had struck the deal after he had caught the producers smuggling food to other contestants. CBS responded that Hatch's argument had no merit.
