BRANDON ROUTH - SUPERMAN'S RIVAL PRAISES NEW MAN OF STEEL

The actor who fought BRANDON ROUTH for the role of the Man of Steel in new movie SUPERMAN RETURNS has heaped praise on his rival, insisting the former bartender was the best choice for the role. Actor CHRISTOPHER SHOWERMAN was among those competing for the new SUPERMAN role in BRYAN SINGER's hit summer blockbuster, but he lost out to Routh. Honourable in defeat, Showerman admits he dashed out to see the new movie, and has nothing but praise for Routh. He tells moviehole.net, "I thought Brandon was a really good CLARK KENT. More specifically, I thought he nailed CHRISTOPHER REEVE's Clark Kent."
