BATMAN - SUPERHEROES GET STAMPS
Caption: The Knight certainly wasn't Dark for residents in Battersea as filming for the latest Batman movie has seen illuminations across London. Worried residents dialled the emergency services after witnessing 200ft flames from a huge explosion at the now defunct Battersea Power Station. But the explosive scenes were actually part of the new Batman....
BATMAN, SUPERMAN, WONDER WOMAN, SUPERGIRL and a handful of other superheroes will feature on their own US postage stamps. The 39-cent stamps are set to be unveiled today (20JUL06) at the annual Comic-Con International show in San Diego, California. The stamps will be sold in sheets of 20, half featuring the individual superheroes and the other half showing covers of comic books starring them. The new stamps will go on sale tomorrow (21JUL06), with more superhero stamps likely to be issued by the US Post Office.
