LATEST: NEW ORDER star BERNARD SUMNER has fired back at ex-bandmate PETER HOOK's internet claims the group has split, calling the bass player "arrogant" and his remarks "distasteful". In a blog message to fans, the New Order frontman admits he's unsure about the group's future, but Hook had no place to announce the British act was no more. Sumner, who states he hasn't seen Hook since the group toured South America in 2006, rages, "I find it very distasteful for him to do that after all this time. "He should have had a meeting with us. I'm not having someone tell me that we've split up without consulting me first. I think that's very arrogant. "I think that Hooky just needs to chill out a little bit and relax." But the singer admits he has no plans to reach out to his bandmate in a bid to repair relations: "He's the guy with the problem, so he should approach us... I just don't think he likes me, so what can you do?"
