SUGABABES - SUGABABE BOYFRIEND IN KNIFE ATTACK

The boyfriend of Sugababes singer Amelle Berrabah is reported to have been admitted to intensive care after being attacked with a machete.

Freddie Fuller, 25, was found in a lying in a pool of blood with his left arm and leg "hanging by a thread", according to the Sun newspaper.

The attack is believed to have happened outside the Queen Victoria pub in Aldershot, Hampshire, on Christmas Eve.

The 25-year-old former tree surgeon also suffered stab wounds to his head and legs, The Sun reports.

"As far as we know, Amelle was not there at the time of the attack although she went to the hospital as soon as she heard," a source told the newspaper.

"Amelle was terrified that she was going to lose him. She has had a nightmare Christmas. She's hardly slept and spent most of the time crying."

Fuller was admitted to Frimley Park hospital in Surrey, where he underwent a six-hour emergency operation to save his limbs.

A spokesman for Hampshire Police refused to deny or confirm the reports but said officers were investigating a fight in Aldershot.

"Detectives in Aldershot are investigating the circumstances surrounding an altercation between two men," he explained.

"The incident occurred at around 21:15 GMT in Heathland Street in Aldershot on Christmas Eve in which a 25-year-old local man suffered serious arm and leg injuries."

Fuller and Berrabah, 23, were reportedly enjoying a night out with friends at Yates' Wine Lodge prior to the attack.
