AMERICAN IDOL - STUDDARD TAKES LEGAL ACTION AGAINST PROMOTER

Former AMERICAN IDOL winner RUBEN STUDDARD is suing a concert promoter for breach of contract. In legal papers filed in New York Supreme Court, Studdard is seeking $45,000 (GBP22,500) in damages from Dallas, Texas-based firm Peaches Inc., reports TMZ.com. The lawsuit comes just one month after Studdard was dropped by his label, J Records, after failing to match the success of his 2003 debut album, Soulful.
