STONES FAN CLAIMS NEW JONES 'MURDER' EVIDENCE

A ROLLING STONES fan is lobbying police to exhume the body of the band's late guitarist BRIAN JONES, insisting he has new evidence proving the star was murdered. Jones drowned in 1969, aged 27, during a night-time swim. He was allegedly high on drugs and alcohol after being kicked out of the band three weeks before. But TREVOR HOBLEY, chairman of the Brian Jones fan club, insists he's unearthed evidence to prove the pool death was far from accidental. He says, "I'm 100 per cent certain he was murdered. "For any murder, you need a motive and I've uncovered two or three motives. We've come across damning new evidence and will present it to the Attorney General. "Brian Jones is the silent witness that carries the exact cause of his death and the only way that we're ever going to get to the truth is to have his body exhumed."
