JOSS STONE - STONE THANKS HILL'S MUM FOR DREAM DUET

British R+B star JOSS STONE was so determined to land a duet with her heroine LAURYN HILL she begged the FUGEES star's mum for an introduction. The singer spent months trying to reach Hill through music industry contacts and mutual friends but when she realised traditional methods of tracking the Fugees star down were hopeless, she targeted the seven-time Grammy-winner's mum. She tells MTV News, "I called her mum every day for like a month and a half." Stone's family plan paid off - Hill's mother told the singer of the Brit's dream duet and the reclusive soul star agreed to join her in the studio for new track MUSIC, a tune inspired by the Fugees' THE MASK. Thrilled Stone adds, "I've wanted to work with her since the first time I heard her voice. It's a dream come true for me - a goal I can mark off my list. I love her so much, and she's just so talented."
